We should be starting to believe guys.

Fantastic defensive effort from the entire team to keep the Suns goalless till the last quarter. Our composure for the entire match is a credit to all who took the field, there were many opportunities where we could have lost our heads, but we didn’t, we didn’t get sucked into the rubbish which has cost us in the past. Great to see!

I thought the back six were great all day with our leaders Cheese and Flemmo providing plenty of run and voice, while Jeremy and Felix had the better of their opponents. Vince, Dogga, Mani kept the heat on not giving their direct opponents an inch. Plenty of really good chains, changing the angles and run and carry which started from the back half.

Jordie was back, and while all our onballers played well, Raps kicked a lazy three plus 176 Fantasy League points to be BOG.

We were able to get solid runs into Bretto and Jordie returning from injury, while our Captain Scooter is back and will be better for the run as well.

Unfortunately, we lost Declan to a dislocated shoulder early in the First Quarter, and we wish him the best for a speedy recovery. He will still be down at training, leading by example on what a good patient should be doing.

We have another tough test against the Dogs this week, we have effectively put the rest of the league on notice, we are so close, but can't afford to rest on our laurels.

See you all at training this week and we’ll take another step forward as a team, having another red hot crack this weekend.

Please Remember – as a courtesy, just let myself or Mark know if you can’t make training (private text message – not group chat) and watch out for the Poll on Thursday morning – simple Yes or No.

19 weeks to go, keep enjoying your footy boys.

Under 9.5 Hawks

This week we took on Curra Swans at our home ground Riverway.

We only had 3 Boys this week as Nicko was up watching the his Mighty Crows in Cairns and Veari was sick. But Flynn Paddy and Cooper all stood up and had a red hot crack.

I gave the boys each a thing to work on before the game, asked Cooper and Paddy to try keeping there feet more which they did great. Then I asked young Flynn to try and get a tackle, it took him until halfway through the second quarter to do so but afterwards he was just getting everyone near him which was great to see and also won him the Zambreros man of the match!!!

Catch ya’s all Thursday for training

Cheers Dogga!!

Under 13.5 vs Tigers

This week we took on the Hermit Park at Neil French Oval

Being short on a few players we were lucky enough to have Cameron, Jesse, Keely and Bella come over from Tigers for the game to help us out. They all played a great game and were in the contests all day. We would like to thank them for helping us out.

Coming off a two week break we were a bit rusty this week, with our defensive pressure lacking we set out to rectify as the game went on. Millers hard work practicing his skills was on show as he was attacking the ball and keeping the ball moving forward with his great kicking and handballing.

Andre got to kick his first goal for the year with a switch into the forward line in the last quarter paying off. A special mention this week to Hannah-Rose, who week in and week out gives 100% and follows coaching instructions and advice. She will put herself in the right positions and never complains when asked to play in a position that she might not like.

Make sure we keep up our practice at home and bring our game day intensity to the training track

See you on Thursday
